The Wiltshire Golf League's Committee for 2026 comprises:

The third Committee member is Andy Rideout, High Post Golf Club.

The 2026 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING took place on Saturday 7th MARCH 2026, at North Wilts Golf Club. 

There was a good discussion amongst attendees on the supplementary issues, more details will be made available on Finals' Day.

FINALS' DAY will take place at High Post Golf Club on Sunday 11th October 2026 starting at 09.00. This will be a shotgun start.

At the AGM in March we had a fairly detailed discussion about the issue of Player Eligibility particularly in light of the changes to available information arising from the WHS system and in particular the EG App. 

Rule 10 of the League Rules governs Player Eligibility and it remains as follows:- 

“A Club may call upon any Amateur Golfer who is a Member of the Club concerned and who pays, as a consequence of that membership, an affiliation fee to Wiltshire Golf” 

Good Practice:-

It is not a part of the League Rules that to be eligible to play on a particular day the Player should be shown on the EG App as being a Home or an Away Member of the Club concerned. 

If we amended the Rules to include such a provision we would risk having to penalise a Club for selecting a Player who had not had their WHS status updated because of an administrative failing or perhaps one whose status had been incorrectly changed (had been removed in error). League Team Captains are asked to do their best to ensure that Players whom they select to play are shown on WHS / The EG App as being either Home or Away Members of their Golf Club and to liaise with their Club Managers and / or Administrators to correct any defaults that they identify having carried out such a check.

CLUBS/DIVISIONS FOR 2026:

The Divisions in 2026 will be as follows:

Division 1 - Cumberwell Park, South Wilts, Bowood, Marlborough and North Wilts. 

Division 2 - Broome Manor, High Post, West Wilts and Ogbourne Downs

Division 3 - Chippenham, Upavon, Erlestoke, Hamptworth and Kingsdown.

Several clubs still need to submit details of their 2026 matches so that this information can be entered on the League's website.

Finally, please advise the League Secretary of your contact details - League Team Captain and the club officer responsible for administration and particularly for making fixtures arrangements. 

The form to be completed has already been circulated. 

Thanks to all clubs who participated in the Finals Day and to Chippenham Golf Club for their support, the presentation of the course despite recent adverse weather and the friendly staff who looked after the teams in the clubhouse.

2nd Pair - Dom Seaman and Lewy Hayward (41 points), 

3rd Pair - Greg Finney and Dan Ralph (38 points on count back)

The locally adopted Code of Conduct will apply to all of Wiltshire Golf League matches.
