Finals Day took place at Hamptworth Golf Club on Sunday 13th October 2024.
We had a great day. We were blessed with great weather, a course in a beautiful part of the County in pretty good condition, particularly the greens, (in light of the summer that we have had and recent heavy rains) and absolutely fantastic staff - we left feeling very well looked after !!!
Congratulations to Hamptworth the winning Team who took the On the day Team Prize (the Secretary`s Trophy) with 115 points - the three Hamptworth pairs scored 41 points, 39 points and 35 points respectively. The format for the event was Fourball Betterball Scratch Stableford.
Hamptworth won the Secretary`s Trophy (mentioned above) by 4 points from the High Post Team who had a total of 111 points. Six other Teams scored more than 100 points between their three pairs (for details see below).
Congratulations also to Dan Diamond & Josh Stewart of Tidworth who won the individual pairs event with 41 points (a back nine of 21 points but then the countback tiebreak on the back six holes) this from Fin Charles & Keran Osmond of Hamptworth. Third were Gary Slade and Sayed Kamezi of Cumberwell Park (both of these pairs also on 41 points).
Turning to the Divisional Titles for 2024 many congratulations to Tidworth Golf Club for winning Division One (and as such winning the League as well) in 2024. Congratulations also to Marlborough for winning the Division Two Title this year and to Hamptworth for triumphing in Division Three.
