Welcome to the official web site of the Wiltshire Golf League
The Wiltshire Golf League's Committee for 2023 comprises: 
Doug Morgan (Chairman), Adrian Northall (Secretary/Treasurer) and Jon Copp as the third member. Jon is the League Team Captain for Marlborough Golf Club where the 2023 Finals Day will be held. These arrangements are in accordance with the League's Rules.

PRESENTATION OF DIVISIONAL WINNERS TROPHIES


This will take place at the AGM in February 2024 at North Wilts Golf Club. The date has yet to be confirmed. It is hoped that the relevant League Team Captains will attend.

CLUBS/DIVISIONS FOR 2024:

It is with pleasure that Ogbourne Downs is welcomed back to the League for 2024. In accordance with the Rules they will be joining Division 3. 

Division 1 - Cumberwell Park, North Wilts, Tidworth and Bowood 

Division 2 - Broome Manor, West Wilts, Marlborough and Chippenham 

Division 3 - South Wilts, Hamptworth, Erlestoke, Upavon and Ogbourne Downs. 

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the league Secretary.

Also, as soon as matches are arranged and confirmed. please send the details to the League Secretary so that they can be entered on the website for the forthcoming season.

FINALS DAY 2024


It has just been confirmed that the next Finals Day will take place at Hamptworth Golf Club on Sunday 13th October 2023.


Changes to the Rules:

RULE 6 - PROMOTION & RELEGATION

To continue to provide for equalisation, as far as possible, of the number of clubs in each Division on the basis of: 
- 1 club being demoted from Division 1 at the end of the 2023 Season 
- 1 club being promoted from Division 2 to Division 1 at the end of the 2023 Season. 
- 1 club being demoted from Division 2 to Division 3 at the end of the 2023 Season. 
- 1 club being promoted from Division 3 to Division 2 at the end of the 2023 Season.

RULE  10 – Eligibility of players 

To enable any amateur golfers to be selected to represent their club, albeit playing from the same tees as the male participants in the League. 
For the avoidance of doubt, there will be NO Course Rating equalisation shots awarded.

Teams by Division 
Division 1 - Broome Manor, Ogbourne Downs, Tidworth, Cumberwell Park, Bowood
Division 2 - North Wilts, Marlborough, West Wilts, Salisbury & South Wilts, Manor House
Division 3 - Chippenham, Erlestoke, Upavon and Hamptworth.

Any other clubs seeking to join / re-join the League will also join Division 3, in accordance with the Rules.

Thanks to those clubs that have provided up to date details of their League Team Captain for 2023 and the club's point of contact.

The locally adopted Code of Conduct will apply to all of Wiltshire Golf League matches.
